Christmas 2010

So, I know it is January and Christmas is over but in our house all Christmas decorations are still up and so it seems like it was just yesterday.  We were so lucky to have my sister Crystal and her family at our house for Christmas this year.  We love and miss them so much and it was wonderful to spend time together.
Christmas Morning our kids got loaded with presents.  Needless to say Logan did the Christmas shopping while was busy with school work.  He did a great job and got fabulous deals but he loves to spoil them.

We had all had such a great Christmas.  Crystal requested that we go see the Salt Lake Temple lights and so one night we went down to SL and walked around the temple grounds.  Visiting the temple puts Christmas is such great perspective, it was a wonderful experience.  We had such a disaster of a time trying to park, it only took us over 30 minutes, which put us in a cranky mood but that disappeared once we were walking around.  As we are walking around in the crowds of people a little girl, about 7, was lost and people kept walking past her just looking.  I was horrified by how all these families just starred and walk right on by.  So of course I stop and hold her hand and try to console her, because she is hysterically crying, and I find out her name.  I have Logan yell "Rosie's mom".  After what seemed like an eternity but was probably only 2 minutes the little girl's sister came and got her.  Right after she was reunited with her family I look at the boys and tell them that is why they need to stay close and hold hands.  Logan and I looked at eachother and had the same thought of this little girl needed us and that is why it took us so long to find a parking spot.  I am so thankful for the family I have and that we are not 'lost' eternally.  That we are going to be together forever.
